Luo Feng grew increasingly worried, and putting aside his breakfast, he swiftly opened the door to go out and search.
However, just as he opened the door, he saw Luna rubbing her eyes, walking towards him.
“Where have you been? I wanted to come out and look for you, but I saw some gang members loitering at the hotel entrance, so I didn’t dare to go out.”
As Luna spoke, Luo Feng heaved a sigh of relief upon hearing her words.
“I went to get breakfast for you,” he said, pointing to the buns and porridge on the table.
Seeing this, Luna was deeply moved. After all these years, she had always been the one buying breakfast for others, but nobody had ever done so for her. In fact, as far back as she could remember, no one had ever taken care of her like this.
Touched by the gesture, tears welled up in Luna’s eyes. Luo Feng, taken aback, wondered if the breakfast was not to her liking and hurriedly apologized.
“Don’t cry. If the food isn’t to your taste, just let me know. I can go buy something else.”
Luna shook her head, smiling through her tears. “It’s not that. This is probably the best breakfast I’ve ever had.”
Without further ado, Luna began to eat voraciously. Luo Feng watched her silently before breaking the silence, “Once we meet with Andy tonight, how do you plan to handle the situation between you two?”
Luna pondered for a moment before responding, “I’m not sure. If possible, I’d prefer to maintain a peaceful coexistence. However, it’s clear that Andy will never agree. I’ve encountered him several times, and I know what kind of person he is. Having offended him, unless my strength surpasses his, he will never let me go.”
Listening to Luna’s words, filled with sorrow and resignation, Luo Feng could only nod sympathetically. “Tonight, when we meet him, let me do the talking.”
Luna’s presence had somewhat disrupted Luo Feng’s original plan. The tensions between Luo Feng and Andy were well-known to both, and a confrontation seemed inevitable. Luo Feng anticipated that the meeting might escalate to a full-blown conflict, which was a concern. If a fight broke out, he would be unable to ensure Luna’s safety. Given her pre-existing enmity with Andy and her closeness to Luo Feng, she could be targeted even more.
Therefore, Luo Feng realized he might have to modify his approach and avoid direct confrontation.
By evening, Luo Feng and Luna arrived at the pre-arranged location. Andy was already there, surrounded by dozens of his henchmen.
Greeting Andy with a smile, Luo Feng moved to take a seat. Just as he was about to sit, one of Andy’s bodyguards pulled the chair away.
Undeterred, Luo Feng remained standing, looking down at Andy. “Mr. Andy, didn’t you mention having something interesting to show me? I’m here specifically to discuss business with you.”
Ignoring Luo Feng’s words, Andy stretched his legs on the table, reclining lazily in his chair. “I’m surprised you dared to show up,” he remarked sarcastically.
Luo Feng responded with a faint smile. “Mr. Andy, if you wish to discuss business, I’m all ears. But if you’re trying to pick a fight, I won’t stand by politely.”
As Luo Feng spoke with stern authority, Andy’s gaze shifted, landing on Luna behind Luo Feng. “Ah, little miss, you’re here too.”
Upon seeing Andy, Luna’s fear was evident. She quickly hid behind Luo Feng.
“Scared of me, are you? I remember you being much braver when we first met,” Andy said, moving closer. Just as he was about to reach for her, Luo Feng stepped in.
“Mr. Andy, I’m here for business. She is with me, and I’d appreciate it if you kept your hands to yourself.”
The subtle threat in Luo Feng’s voice was unmistakable. Andy, aware of Luo Feng’s capabilities and his current disadvantageous position, chose not to escalate the situation.
“Fine, let’s talk business,” Andy replied, returning to his seat in his arrogant manner. “But before we proceed, I have a condition. Only if you agree, will we continue the discussion..”
