Chapter 210: Chapter 210: Courting Death on One’s Own (Second Update)
Faced with Xu Leigang’s interception, Wang Haifeng chose to refuse.
There was indeed a gap between him and Feng Jun, but he was not at all afraid of a surprise attack.
Xu Leigang couldn’t stop him no matter what, so he suggested they take a break first since they had been drinking at noon. “Let’s sober up and wait for the darkness to ambush,” he said.
“What’s a little alcohol?” Wang Haifeng expressed with disdain, then looked at him suspiciously, “You’re not thinking of tipping them off, are you?”
“Fine, I won’t stop you,” Xu Leigang shook his head helplessly, “Some people are just hell-bent on courting death, and there’s nothing I can do about it.”
So after paying the bill, the two of them headed straight for Peach Blossom Valley. Since Feng Jun always drove to and from the place, they knocked on the door of the villa, found no one there, and climbed over the wall to get in.
Unfortunately for them, just as they had hidden themselves, Feng Jun returned by car, and with him came Li Xiaobin.
Wang Haifeng gestured for Xu Leigang to be silent and pounced straight at them.
He planned to grab Feng Jun around the waist and go for a bear hug throw. Once he gained the upper hand, he was confident he could maintain it.
The moment he lunged, Feng Jun felt the hair on his body stand on end.
Initially, he hadn’t sensed the ambush from the two men, because neither Xu Leigang nor Wang Haifeng bore any malice towards him, failing to trigger his defensive alarm.
Now, suddenly faced with a sneak attack, Feng Jun’s instinct told him a master was at play, and without thinking, he sidestepped, grabbed the assailant’s arm, and swung it violently to throw him onto the ground ahead.
With a loud “thump,” followed by a terrible scream, “Ahh~~~”
Feng Jun did not even glance at the person, moving to the side and front, raising his foot to kick the man on the ground.
He needed to be wary of more than one attacker, so he had to be elusive, and besides, it was best to take them out one by one.
Just then, someone behind him shouted, “Master Feng… stop!”
If it had been any other title, Feng Jun’s kick would have definitely landed solidly—titles like “President Feng” or “Boss Feng” would not have stopped him.
Only this “Master Feng” implied someone who knew him well and would call him that. And someone who knew of his master-level skills and still dared to take action would likely be testing or evaluating him.
So he forcefully changed the direction of his kick and took a step forward to stabilize himself before looking back, and then he asked in astonishment, “Eh, Lei Gang, what are you doing?”
After asking this, he then looked down to see a young man whose arrogance had brought him to a bad end—lucky for him.
On sight, Feng Jun was stunned, “Ah? Is that you?”
“Aiyoo, my poor back~” Wang Haifeng’s groan came at this moment; he had been thrown so hard he was nearly out of breath.
Then he noticed something else, “Oh crap, my foot’s broken… Seriously, Feng Jun, was that necessary?”
And then he bellowed, “Oh crap, my arm’s dislocated too… what the hell did I ever do to you?”
“Well, consider yourself lucky I went easy,” Feng Jun squatted down to check his injuries, “If it had been somewhere else… somewhere with no one around, you’d be at least half-crippled by now.”
“Keep bragging,” Wang Haifeng replied in pain, unable to let things go, “If you ask me… ouch, don’t press there, it hurts!”
Now it was Xu Leigang’s turn to interject, teasing him, “Master Feng is, after all, a billionaire. You didn’t even give a greeting, just attacked. Of course, him crippling you would be normal, wouldn’t it?”
“Pretty much half-crippled as it is,” Feng Jun confirmed after finishing the inspection, nodding at Xu Leigang, “Ankle dislocation, arm dislocation, probably issues with the ribs and hip bones too… let’s get him into the house first.”
“Well, hurry up and call a doctor then,” Wang Haifeng urged anxiously, “Why are you carrying me into the house?”
“The doctor would still need time to get here, right?” Feng Jun retorted irritably, then turned to Xu Leigang, “Give me a hand!”
The two of them carried and hauled Wang Haifeng into the house, and it was finally clear to Feng Jun why Wang Haifeng had attempted an ambush on him.
He looked at Wang Haifeng with a wry smile, “You could have just challenged me to my face, why go through all this sneaking around?”
Wang Haifeng retorted irritably, “A direct challenge, I’m a bit inferior to you, a sneak attack seemed more reliable.”
Xu Leigang couldn’t help but chime in with a taunt, “I’m curious, how could you think you were only a little inferior in a direct challenge?”
Feng Jun, however, spoke seriously while checking, “There are many important items in this villa; ambushing me here really was the worst choice. Even if you chose another place, it wouldn’t have ended this badly.”
Xu Leigang could guess that Feng Jun probably had lots of valuable jade stored in the villa, which explained his urgency, so he spoke up, “Then how about I get a couple of guys to help watch the house?”
“Exactly,” Wang Haifeng exclaimed, feeling incredibly wronged, “You didn’t say there were important things here. Isn’t that setting me up?”
“You didn’t understand the situation,” Feng Jun told him, speaking earnestly, “The reason I didn’t hold back not only has to do with the importance of this place but also because… my assistant witnessed the whole thing!”
“Assistant?” Wang Haifeng glanced at Li Xiaobin out of the corner of his eye and asked, both amused and annoyed, “You don’t think I would lay a hand on her, do you?”
“Please, I had no idea the attacker was you!” Feng Jun rolled his eyes in frustration, “Otherwise, I wouldn’t have hit back so hard… But if the attacker wasn’t you, who can guarantee they won’t strike a woman or child?”
After pausing for a moment, he continued, “You might take my assistant hostage, which could put me at a disadvantage… Not only did you pick the wrong place, but you also chose the wrong time. If it were just me, I’d be less hostile.”
Wang Haifeng’s face turned red from what he said, but he still retorted stubbornly, “This is Peach Blossom Valley, how could it be unsafe here?”
Feng Jun shrugged, “That’s your opinion, but as for me…”
“Alright, alright,” Wang Haifeng interrupted him impatiently, “Where’s the doctor? Didn’t you say you were going to call the doctor? I’m in so much pain I could die!”
After pondering for a while, Feng Jun slowly said, “I can treat your injury… Would you rather trust me or the doctor?”
So you know how to treat injuries? At this moment, Wang Haifeng was sweating from the pain and instinctively wanted to trust the doctor.
However, just as he was about to speak, a flash of insight struck him, and he looked over at Xu Leigang.
Fatty Xu was winking and grimacing at him. Although Wang Haifeng had no idea what he was trying to convey, the gestures were so exaggerated that they could almost be interpreted as—”Damn it, should we switch places or what?”
“Then you might as well treat me first. I want to see for myself how skilled the master is,” Coach Wang made his choice, and then he took a sharp breath, “Can you at least alleviate the pain first? I’m dying here.”
Feng Jun lifted his hand and pressed several points on the other person’s body.
“Huh?” Wang Haifeng’s eyes suddenly widened, “It really doesn’t hurt anymore. Is this… point-pressing?”
“I’m just stagnating your blood and Qi,” Feng Jun said leisurely as he looked at him, “Don’t trust me, eh? I’ll just dial 120 then.”
“Don’t, don’t,” Wang Haifeng cried out, who, despite his strong personality, was not rigid. If there were advantages to be had, he’d definitely lower his pride, “I trust you, I trust you… Master Feng, please kindly show mercy and display your divine skills.”
Right as Feng Jun was about to start, he suddenly realized that Li Xiaobin was standing not far away, staring in shock at the scene before her.
He had already resolved to give Wang Haifeng a favor, but he didn’t want her to see it.
The bonds between classmates were precious, but that was only if they were based on pure friendship. Once interests became involved, relationships could collapse even faster than those of ordinary people.
Over the years, Li Xiaobin had led a wandering life, not living comfortably and had even developed multiple personalities. Having her as an assistant was fine, but the more secretive stuff should… be observed for a while longer.
Therefore, Feng Jun cleared his throat, “Come on, Lei Gang, let’s strip him down… Xiao Bin, could you please step aside for a moment.”
“Strip down?” Upon hearing this, Wang Haifeng started to protest, “Why?”
“Nonsense, can you treat an injury without stripping?” Xu Leigang scolded him, while not forgetting to glance at Li Xiaobin and cheekily said, “Beautiful, please step aside.”
“I… I’ll go to the rest area,” Li Xiaobin turned and walked towards a small room, which was specially set aside by Feng Jun for her to rest in, “Call me if you need anything.”
Seeing her enter the room and close the door, Feng Jun and Xu Leigang stripped Wang Haifeng down to his shorts. Then Feng Jun placed his hand on the other’s Qi field and released his Inner Qi to feel for his injuries.
Wang Haifeng let out a soft yip of surprise, “Huh? What’s this thing, moving hotly inside me?”
Xu Lei glanced at him and then nudged his chin towards the room where Li Xiaobin was, lowering his voice to say, “What could it be? Think about it… why do I call him master? You’re really getting a bargain this time.”
Wang Haifeng was stunned for a moment, blinked, and then quietly asked, “Couldn’t be… internal energy, could it?”
Xu Lei gave him a look as if to say, “You’re just realizing this now?”
“Damn it,” Wang Haifeng suddenly became enraged. He cautiously glanced at the room where Li Xiaobin was and whispered through gritted teeth, “I didn’t need to strip… right?”
“Ha,” Xu Lei couldn’t help but laugh; he shared the same sentiment.
“What nonsense are you talking about?” Feng Jun said with a smile, not wanting Li Xiaobin to overhear, “Actually…”
Both men were all ears, waiting for him to continue, but the next moment, Wang Haifeng let out a roar of pain that could almost shatter glass. It turned out Feng Jun took advantage of his distraction to forcefully realign his ankle.
“There, done,” Feng Jun then picked up his left arm and casually popped the joint back into place, “Nothing serious.”
“Didn’t you… stagnate the blood and Qi?” Wang Haifeng glared at him, “Why is it so painful then?”
“If I completely stagnate the blood and Qi, how would the bones heal?” Feng Jun glared back at him, “Or would you rather I send you to the hospital?”
“Fine, you’re the master, you win, okay?” Wang Haifeng grumbled and turned away his face in resignation.
“Keep an eye on him for me,” Feng Jun instructed Xu Lei, then turned and went upstairs.
