1443 Marry Me (3)
As she flicked through the pages, Long Yuetian’s eyes were drawn to one particular photo.
In the photo, a young man was holding a little girl.
The young man was handsome and full of heroic spirits. However, the smile on his face was somewhat cunning and rebellious.
Even though the young man’s temperament was very different from the current Zhai Zhongshen, from his facial features, Long Yuetian could tell that the young man in the photo was him. Of course, the girl he held was her.
Long Yuetian had previously heard that when Zhai Zhongshen was a young man, he was often in the midst of trouble. Despite this, she couldn’t imagine what he was like back then.
When she looked at the photo in her hand, Long Yuetian realized that the death of his brother changed Zhai Zhongshen completely. He went from being an unruly and rebellious teenager to a serious and mature man.
Some fragmented memories also appeared in Long Yuetian’s mind.
She vaguely remembered she watched TV on the morning of her fifth birthday and the show that was airing had a funny scene between a married couple. As she did not really understand what marriage meant, she just assumed marrying someone would be fun. And hence, she declared to her father that she was going to find a husband.
During her birthday party, she ran into a good-looking teenager in her backyard.
And thus, five-year-old Long Yuetian one-sidely decided she was going to marry this young man. From there onwards, he was her husband.
As a child, Long Yuetian was very domineering. She did whatever she wanted to and did not accept no as an answer.
The latter part of her fragmented memories was blurred. This meant Long Yuetian did not recall the horrible things she probably did to that handsome teenager.
However, she realized she declared Zhai Zhongshen as her husband!
Long Yuetian burrowed her head into the bed and began to wail.
How could she do those things?!
And why did Zhai Zhongshen still remember what she did?! That made everything worse!
Eventually, Long Yuetian hid under her blanket.
Her mind kept repeating Zhai Zhongshen’s words where he said he was not a shameless bastard and he would only touch a woman he set my eyes on.
So he set his eyes on her?
Wa–
Her cheeks felt incredibly hot.
Should she actually listen to her father’s words and marry him?

At noon, Zhai Zhongshen came to pick Long Yuetian up.
“I… I think it’s best for me to go home,” Long Yuetian said cautiously. She did not dare to look into Zhai Zhongshen’s eyes.
“I already promised Yiling.”
“But…”
“What’s the problem?” Zhai Zhongshen asked as he looked at Long Yuetian with a serious expression on his face.
“There… Isn’t a problem…” Long Yuetian stammered. She was just a little confused as to what was going on between the two of them.
Zhai Zhongshen brought Long Yuetian to a small manor located on the outskirts of Beijing.
“Where are we? This isn’t the Zhai Residence,” Long Yuetian exclaimed in confusion when she got out of the car.
“This is my private residence. It’s very safe,” Zhai Zhongshen explained.
Upon hearing this, Long Yuetian wanted to explain she wasn’t concerned about her safety. Instead, she wanted to go to the Zhai Residence because she would not have to face him by herself…
However, Long Yuetian quietly followed Zhai Zhongshen into the small manor.
The decoration in the manor was simple and like the owner, everything had a silent and monotonous vibe.
After entering the manor, Zhai Zhongshen went to his study to work.
Long Yuetian did not know what to do.
And thus, she began to wander around.
When she entered the backyard, she saw the garden was filled with roses. There was a wall covered in red eden roses and the arch of a pavilion was entwined with blue rambler roses.
