Like Grass
The great stars fell like rain with crackling sounds. Huge celestial bodies smashed over from the outer regions one after another, producing flames from the friction.
Divine beings were like grass, no longer worth anything. Even the supreme experts were captured by the divine chains of order.
Everyone felt as if their hearts were going to split apart. This was a great calamity after all. Was this region going to be wiped out? There was no way of escaping at all. It was a land of death.
Shi Hao felt terrible. How was he supposed to survive this? He watched as the stars closed in and the supreme experts suffered disaster. He was chilled to the bone. There really was nothing he could do.
Whoosh!
He saw a young Golden Crow that possessed extreme speed. It carried fiery divine light as it pierced through the clouds and mists, soaring into the nine heavens. It was extremely magnificent.
It was a young Formation Arrangement Realm expert, not a supreme expert. Its speed wasn’t much inferior to Shi Hao’s, and in the blink of an eye, it fled into the heavens.
Sure enough, there were extremely talented hidden talents in this world that were unknown to the world. At the very least, this Golden Crow was formidable!
“Hey, they didn’t catch it!” Shi Hao revealed a surprised expression. He had wanted to stop, not wishing to be locked up by the divine chains of natural laws. Now, he was shocked.
Could this be the chance of life left behind by the great dao, allowing a few cultivators to escape the apocalypse and rush into the outer regions? Shi Hao had a flash of inspiration as if he caught something.
Space-splitting sounds rang out incessantly. A few more Heaven-ranked vicious beasts and divine bird descendants rushed out, fleeing into the outer regions. They were like floating lights as they quickly reached the limit.
When he discovered the abnormality, Shi Hao calmed himself down and carefully observed. He saw that magical bell tremble, and ripples spread outward, sweeping toward those people.
Whoosh.
Divine chains of order appeared, locking down another supreme expert. They allowed the young experts to escape, only capturing those at the peak of the wasteland region.
Shi Hao was neither too fast nor too slow. He didn’t overstep his bounds. He was rising, but he wasn’t at the very front. He continued to follow the crowd. His eyes flickered with radiance as he quietly experienced everything.
Those three great magical artifacts didn’t disappear but only became indistinct. They still floated in the sky, releasing waves of obscure fluctuations while suppressing all things!
“Not a single one of the supreme experts managed to escape after rising into the air!” Shi Hao shivered inwardly. The natural laws descended as if the long arms of heaven were unable to escape, leaving everyone horrified.
In just this area, several supreme experts that were already tied up. The other great wastelands and divine mountains were most likely like this as well.
Boom!
Right at this moment, an expanse of scarlet multicolored light surged in the distance, spewing out endless light. It surged like a flood, breaking free from the chains and rushing into the outer regions.
Whoosh.
Unfortunately, the great calamity was endless. A divine blade descended, hacking toward that dazzling light, cutting off its path of life.
Amidst the clanging sounds, endless symbols surged. An enormous magical projection appeared, towering between heaven and earth. It was grand and boundless, releasing a wave of divine aura.
“Heavens, that’s a deity!”
Even in this apocalypse, there were still many creatures who cried out in alarm. That was just too horrifying. In this great calamity, not even deities could escape.
Scarlet light swirled there as if a Flood Dragon was raising its head, turning into dense symbols. It rushed toward the sparkling divine blade, resisting the natural laws of heaven and earth.
Furious roars rang out, and scripture sounds shook the heavens. That magical projection became more and more grand, clearly visible. His angry eyes widened, leaving many creatures in the south horrified. They vaguely remembered that this was a divine image from an ancient temple in the south.
Whoosh!
Blood splashed. That enormous head was hacked off by the divine blade of natural laws, and the divine projection collapsed like a mountain. Blood dyed the sky red, and symbols scattered.
What kind of scene was this? Shi Hao was greatly shaken.
All life trembled, and many people knelt on the ground, feeling helpless. In this great calamity, not even deities could protect themselves. He died just like that, making everyone feel great sorrow and coldness.
“It’s a false deity. He only has a bit of divine flame, yet he dares call himself a deity.” In the darkness, it was as if a voice rang out from the Nine Heavens above. Even the mountains and rivers rumbled.
Regardless, the cultivators all shivered inwardly. It really was true. Divine creatures were like grass, falling to such a state after the great calamity arrived.
Shi Hao was nervous and silent. What kind of tribulation was this?
He looked at the world. Streak after streak of light rushed out. All the cultivators who had the ability rode on their precious artifacts and began to flee into the outer regions, wishing to survive.
It sounded complicated, but in fact, this was just the beginning. Time had only passed for an instant.
There were figures everywhere, and everyone was terrified. Shouts could be heard everywhere as they fled for their lives. All of the powerful cultivators were in fear. The great stars pressed down, rolling and shaking. The divine execution was horrifying.
The cultivators were crying and howling as fear pervaded the air. The moment the apocalypse arrived, all experts went crazy.
Shi Hao was sandwiched in the crowd, also fleeing toward the outer regions. When he saw the appearances of all living things, he went from fear to numbness, and then to silence and calmness. Eventually, he felt that something wasn’t right!
The three great magical artifacts guarded the skies. In the outer regions, the might of the great stars oppressed everyone. It became larger and larger, producing fiery light from the friction. It filled the heavens as if the void was being burned down. It became more and more powerful and terrifying, but in the end, it still didn’t fall.
“What?” Shi Hao’s eyes flickered with radiance. He was filled with despair, but in the end, he calmed down and noticed the abnormality.
Even though the time was still short, great stars should have fallen, but in the end, they still didn’t destroy the world.
He didn’t pay them any attention and continued to soar into the air, rising with other cultivators. In the end, they still faced a few great stars that fell. That type of power was incomparable.
Shi Hao trembled. This star was too large, and it was impossible to avoid! Even though he was in the clouds and the outer regions, it was still difficult for him to escape disaster.
“Something’s not right!”
Finally, he knew what was wrong. That great star directly leaped over like a bubble. It didn’t injure them before smashing into the great earth.
With a boom, endless multicolored light surged from below, and an expanse of the great earth seemed to have sunk. It was as if endless terrifying fluctuations surged, engulfing the boundless world.
However, Shi Hao shivered inwardly, not believing his own eyes. An inconceivable thought rose within him.
It was fake. This apocalyptic scene was fake. Perhaps the scene of the stars in the heavens falling wasn’t real.
Then, great stars rushed down one after another, carrying fiery light, burning the heavens until they surged. It was as if an expanse of doomsday magma scattered through the world of mortals.
At this moment, Shi Hao saw supreme experts again. They rushed up from below. Apart from them, there was an enormous magical projection that belonged to another deity. It fled into the outer regions.
Being in the middle of a tribulation, how could one remain calm? Moreover, that great star was so real, so who could differentiate it? The hidden supreme beings were all shocked. Divine chains of order swept out, binding them tightly.
Shi Hao’s blood went cold. What kind of power was this? It was toying with all types of experts. Such a true apocalyptic scene forced supreme experts and others to take the initiative to rush into the sky before they were captured.
The method made one shiver from head to toe!
How were they supposed to defend themselves?
It seemed forever before the great star finally disappeared. Those stars turned into an afterimage, and terrifying fluctuations scattered. Below them was still that mountain and river that hadn’t been destroyed.
Looking up, Shi Hao saw that the group of creatures that fled the earliest were surrounded by the great bell that descended from the higher realms. With a long and drawn out shake, their bodies became sparkling without any secrets to speak of.
“Is this an investigation?” Shi Hao felt a chill run down his back.
Those people weren’t supreme experts but rather outstanding individuals who were the first to rush out and flee into the outer regions. After being examined by that great bell, they were completely seen through.
Shi Hao sighed. If he hadn’t had a bit of indistinct vigilance and fled with the crowd, he would have also been seen through.
He would be caught and unable to escape!
“It’s fake. That’s an illusory scene. The calamity didn’t happen, it’s not the apocalypse!”
“Supreme experts are bound and unable to escape. However, this isn’t directed at us. This world is still bright and clear!”
At this moment, the entire world cheered. All of the cultivators’ clothes were drenched in cold sweat. After the false alarm, they were all excited and wanted to celebrate that they were still alive.
All of the meteorites were fake. They evolved from a certain rule. Now, the mists were broken, and the entire world rejoiced.
Only a few people remained silent. They felt more and more chilled to the bone. What was more terrifying than this? That type of will and power had just deceived the entire wasteland region and the world!
Many cultivators descended toward the great earth. Shi Hao was also among the crowd. He quietly landed on a mountain peak. Everyone was celebrating their new lease on life, yet Shi Hao felt waves of coldness.
The cultivators who fled into outer space all returned. However, after landing on the great earth, they scattered. They might be able to encounter one or two within hundreds to thousands of miles.
“In the end, we escaped a calamity. We should be fine for the rest of our lives.” On the mountain peak, Shi Hao was on, another elder appeared, leaning on a green bamboo staff. His hair was grayish-white.
Shi Hao was shocked. A supreme expert that was this close to him. The situation wasn’t good.
At the elder’s side was a young lady. She couldn’t be considered beautiful, but she was very demure. She wore snow-white clothes, and there was an uneasy look in her clear eyes. She supported the elder as if she had just survived a disaster.
Suddenly, a wave of cold wind swept through heaven and earth. A streak of flowing light rushed over from the sky. It was a black spear. It wasn’t that long, but it was extremely sharp!
“What is going on?” The elder’s expression changed. He turned around, trying to use great magical force to move to the side.
However, it was still too late. With a thump, the black spear was too fast. It pierced through the elder and nailed him, bringing with it a berserk wind as it flew into the distance.
“Ah…”
The miserable cry didn’t come from the supreme expert, but rather from that snow-clothed young lady. She was only supporting the elder, yet she couldn’t endure the power fluctuations of the black spear. After being brushed by the astral winds, her body exploded.
Shi Hao felt a chill run down his spine and was filled with anger.
Everything was under his control. In the end, he still couldn’t escape this calamity.
A howling wind rang out. Streak after streak of flowing light rushed through this world, engulfing everything and passing through mountains and rivers. Everything was under their eyes.
Shi Hao watched, his expression gradually becoming cold. This wasn’t an illusion. The great calamity began to sweep through heaven and earth. It hadn’t ended.
He reached out. There was still some blood on his arm. It was blood that splashed out from the young lady’s body when she was shattered. It was a horrifying sight.
“This tribulation looks down on all living things. It’s cold and heartless,” Shi Hao said resentfully.
“Haha…”
Indistinctly, he heard a cold voice above the howling wind. It was laughing indifferently without any emotional fluctuations as if it felt nothing.
