Chapter 11: Chapter 11 Can Mr. Piers add me on Facebook?

Fearing that Lincoln Green would grow suspicious, the next day Rose Taylor had someone deliver a bank card and mobile phone to him, but she was livid. “That little bitch deliberately used me.”
Once she added everything up, it was twenty thousand. It made Rose Taylor’s wallet hurt.
“What are we scared of? In a few days, when Dad forgets about this, we can get it all back. She’s still under our control,” Ruby Green had a good plan. As long as Abigail Green’s living expenses were controlled by them, she’d have to obey them to go to school.
Rose Taylor nodded, then shook her head. She always felt that even though Abigail was still plump, she had changed somehow. Even the occasional aura she gave off made Rose feel fearful.
Remembering the time in the hospital when the doctor said she was dead, yet she suddenly woke up, Rose shuddered.
“Do you think she might be possessed?” Rose blurted out to Ruby Green, who was choosing wedding dresses on the bed.
“Mom, what nonsense are you talking about?” Ruby Green scolded, she was a materialist, she didn’t believe in gods, even less in ghosts.
“But I always feel that she’s different somehow,” Rose muttered under her breath.
Ruby Green couldn’t help but scoff. “What’s different? Isn’t she still under our feet?”
“I guess so, she can’t make much of a splash.” Reminded that in the end, Lincoln Green hadn’t really done anything to Diana Edith for her sake, Rose had confidence.
“That’s good. Mom, how are things on Brandon’s side?” Ruby Green didn’t care about Abigail Green. She was getting engaged to Brandon Piers on June 23rd, everything else paled in comparison.
At the mention of this, a smile spread across Rose’s face. “The day after tomorrow is Elder Piers’s birthday, and we’ve been invited.”
“But my leg… it’s all because of that fat bitch. I’ll make her pay sooner or later.” Ruby Green looked down at her casted leg and cursed Abigail.
“It’s okay, we’ve already communicated with them. We told them you miss your baby and will go in a wheelchair.”
“Hmm.” Ruby Green reluctantly acknowledged with a grunt, her hatred for Abigail intensified. If not for her, she would have been the star at the Piers’ banquet in two days, not confined to a wheelchair.
Thinking of Abigail, Ruby hurriedly asked, “Mom, Dad won’t bring that fat bitch along, right?”
“How can he? He couldn’t afford to lose that face.” Rose sniffed disdainfully.
Ruby was relieved. Yesterday, the fact that Abigail knew Brandon Piers had scared her a bit. Because Abigail was once too beautiful, beautiful enough to make her heart uneasy, she was afraid that Brandon might remember something.
Meanwhile, Abigail, who made Ruby Green grind her teeth with hatred and yet was cautious of, was in a good mood.
Having obtained a bank card and a mobile phone, she began to focus on selecting her own equipment.
From her hat to her socks, and even nursing pads, abdominal medications, gauze, and even skincare and makeup.
Perhaps it was because Rose Taylor and her daughter had forcibly fattened this body during pregnancy. Despite not breastfeeding after giving birth, her milk was still abundant, and would get engorged. Every three hours she had to empty her breasts once.
She could make do with other things that new mothers needed, but the nursing pads she had to buy.
Also, Abigail didn’t know if it was because too many memories of the former owner were engraved in her, she often thought of the baby she had never met from the hospital till now, and even heard the baby crying in her dreams last night.
Two days later, the delivery arrived at the villa in succession.
Abigail looked at the plump girl reflected in the mirror. Although not completely without highlights, her skin was stunningly white, her hair was voluminous, and her peach blossom eyes were luminously lively.
Her eyes sparkled as she began the first task, savoring the transformation process.
One hour later.
As Abigail came downstairs wearing a hat, she saw the three of them ready to go. “Dad, Aunt Rose, Ruby, are you going out?”
Ruby Green turned around and was taken aback. Abigail was standing on the staircase dressed in a loose pair of jeans, rolled cuffs with Martin boots, a black V-neck sweater paired with a beige overcoat, and a fisherman’s hat that concealed her forehead, exposing only a pair of remarkably large peach blossom eyes. Visually, she appeared to have lost more than 20 pounds.
A strong sense of crisis welled up in Ruby Green’s heart, but she clenched her fists and refrained from voicing her insecurity.
Abigail ignored Ruby’s reaction, and sweetly asked “Dad, I haven’t been to Gills City for a long time. Can you take me…?”
“No, Abigail. Your sister is going to attend Elder Piers’ birthday today. It’s not appropriate to bring the younger generations along, right, honey?” Rose Taylor had been taken aback just as well, but she quickly regained her cool and explained gently to Abigail while holding onto Lincoln Green’s arm.
As a straightforward man, Lincoln wasn’t as sensitive as the two women. After considering Rose’s words, he silently shook his head. If it had been earlier, he might have taken Abigail to the Piers, to see if there was any suitable young master. But now… with her excessive weight, going to the Piers would just turn into a spectacle.
“You should stay home.” After saying this, Lincoln, with Rose in tow, left the room. Ruby Green, who was being pushed by the servants, shot Abigail a mocking look.
What a waste of effort!
Abigail shrugged her shoulders and waited for her family to leave. She checked her phone to look at the detective’s latest updates about the Piers and at last understood why Ruby was so desperate to marry into the family.
But how could she let that mother-daughter duo have their way?
Thirty minutes later, at the entrance of Sincere Hospital.
“Mr. Piers, are you here to see a doctor?” Abigail looked surprised and happy as she studied the handsome man in front of her.
Brandon Piers glanced at Abigail. The woman, usually messy and disheveled, now appeared refreshed and full of vitality. “Miss Green, are you feeling unwell?”
He remembered that their first meeting had been at the hospital. Although not even ten days had passed since that meeting, they were now meeting for the fourth time, which was quite displeasing.
The Pierses never believed in coincidence.
“No, I’m here to get my certificate.” Abigail quickly pointed behind her to the Bureau of Civil Affairs, about a hundred meters from the Sincere Hospital.
“Certificate?” A marriage certificate?
“Identity card.” Brandon’s expression didn’t change but Abigail sensed mockery in his eyes. Regardless, she answered sincerely as though she didn’t notice anything.
“Hmm.” Brandon didn’t elaborate. He was always polite and gentlemanly, but he didn’t like to interfere with others’ affairs unless necessary.
Abigail was sure that the man was just as she had imagined—though he appeared polite on the surface, he was detached. But she needed something from him today. “Mr. Piers, can I add you on Facebook?”
“…”
“Don’t get the wrong idea, I just want to pay you back.” Brandon still hadn’t replied, so Abigail clarified her intentions sincerely.
Brandon glanced at her chubby face. For some reason, it reminded him of the baby face he’d seen before leaving the house today. That wrinkled, unsightly baby had transformed into a plump, rosy-cheeked infant in just eight days. The baby had similar peach blossom-shaped eyes to Abigail’s.
However, according to the information he had obtained, this chubby girl had gone to Swallow City for college right after her high school graduation and had only returned recently. Back then, she was thinner and had thick bangs and large black-framed glasses. She had no connection at all with the renowned surgeon by the same name, Abigail.
The offer for medical help she had previously made must have been based on information she got from Ruby. She must have requested help intentionally.
Thinking this, Brandon frowned slightly, “No need.”
Pullan, who had been about to move forward, paused mid-step. Even though Mr. Piers was a gentleman and was not one to refuse reasonable requests from ladies such as adding on Facebook, especially when the requester happened to be his future sister-in-law.
Those Facebook accounts were dummy ones anyway, but this still seemed a bit out of character.
Before Pullan could figure out what was going on, Brandon elegantly turned around and walked towards the hospital. His tasteful demeanor, coupled with his captivating looks, made him seem like a fallen deity, causing passersby to halt and gaze in awe.
Abigail stood where she was, phone in hand, reflecting on her rejection. She was rejected? Really?
“Mr. Piers, ah…”
Abigail took a few steps to follow him but then deliberately fell to the ground, clutching the hem of Brandon’s pants.
In an instant, it felt as though time had stopped. As Brandon looked down, he was met with a pair of watery peach blossom eyes.
Abigail quickly blinked her eyes. There was nothing she could do— with her current size, seduction wasn’t an option. She had no choice but to stick to him like glue for the time.
